Skills that participants will gain by completing the course. Target skills:

The trainee will learn:

–         Use and maintain various types of tools,

–         prepare a job order task sheet, agree or specify the quality of the deadline and the quality of the work to be done,

–         comply with health and safety and fire regulations,

–         assess the condition and readiness of the workplace,

–         choose the correct working and technological procedures for painting work with regard to occupational safety and hygiene,

–         prepare various surfaces before the actual painting, clean the paintings with

a cleaning agent,

–         make and repair paintings,

–         master decorative techniques

–         master wallpapering techniques, apply wallpaper to walls and ceilings.

Description of assessment principles (regulations for assessment), e.g.:

Method of evaluation

The assessment will consist of a theoretical and a practical part.

–         The theoretical part will consist of a short test on the acquired theoretical knowledge.

–         The practical part will assess the correct use of painting tools, the observance of technological procedures at work, the correct observance of occupational health and safety and the quality of the work performed.

Assessment criteria

a.      In assessing professional knowledge, the following will be taken into account:

–         the completeness, accuracy and durability of the acquisition of the required knowledge, facts, concepts, definitions, laws and relationships and the ability to express them,

–         the ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the solution of theoretical and practical tasks,

–         the ability to use and generalise experience and knowledge gained in practical activities,

–         the quality of thinking, in particular its logicality, independence and creativity,

–         accuracy, conciseness and professional and linguistic correctness of oral, written and graphic expression,

–         the quality of the results of the activity.

 

b.      In the assessment of skills

–         acquisition of practical skills and habits, mastery of purposeful ways of working,

–         the use of acquired theoretical knowledge in practical activities,

–         the quality of the results of the activities,

–         organisation of own work and workplace, maintenance of order in the workplace,

–         compliance with regulations on health and safety at work, fire protection and care for the environment,

–         economic use of raw materials, materials and energy,

–         operation and maintenance of tools, instruments and gauges.
