Function of the micro-credentials / purpose Acquisition of appropriate skills by students for quick visual inspection and sorting of metal products.
Possible target groups The micro-credential “Metal Products Sorter” within the framework of vocational education and training (VET) is aimed at students and workers who wish to acquire skills and abilities, awarding the qualification of “Metal Products Sorter”.

Metal structure storage warehouses.
Typical work/professional tasks –        Receiving and sorting metal by grades;

–        Compiling and delivering finished products or semi-finished products by heats, grades, profiles, sizes, and orders;

–        Sorting finished products while simultaneously cleaning and removing surface defects;

–        Stamping metal products.

 Types of surface defects in metal;

 Rules and methods for marking metal during sorting;

 Methods for stacking metal products; rules for sampling and specimen collection;

 Principles of operation of devices and mechanisms used in the work.

 Skills

●       Visually identify the type of metal;

●       Identify types of external defects;

●       Use devices and instruments employed in the work;

●       Operate electric loading devices;

●       Perform rigging work;

●       Pack metal products;

●       Adhere to occupational safety rules.

 The applicant completes practical and theoretical tasks;

 Decision of the QC (employers, educational institution staff);

 Awarding with a certificate or digital badge.
