UNIT 3-1 Handling of information and communication technology (ICT) – Digitally designed fonts and stencils

Topic: Digitally designed fonts and stencils, i.e. handling of suitable sotware and plotters. Graduates of the course will have a wider range of customers, as their activities will be more diverse. The technology can be used for a wide range of applications, e.g. folding tattoos, window lettering, decorative stencil patterns (vinyl), reconstruction of stencils. This technology is closely related to the professions of decorator, car polisher, commercial artist.

The speaker with practical experience is available as a sparring partner. The direct speaker feedback and an undisturbed working atmosphere enable concentrated work on your project.

Interpretation of the task, description of the chosen materials, tools and technologies. Steps of the design, description of the practical workflow, description of the final result of the finished work.

·        Practical report with argumentation. (Weighting higher in the evaluation).

Part of the practical exercise:

o prepare the receiving surface properly

o making a color plan, mixing the colors

o exact positioning of the stencil

o application procedure according to the stencil material

o If a permanent stencil is not used: Painting the stencils

o Removal of the stencils

o Post-processing
