This workshop allows to build new knowledge.

Further education on the topics of church painting, gilding, preservation of monuments. Representatives of the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments and the Bürgerspitalstiftung Bamberg explain the general restoration of the entire monastery complex in the former monastery complex of St. Michael (Bamberg).

Goals / field of competence The aim is to get a first-hand report from the professionals in monument preservation and restoration on the current status of the project “General restoration of the former monastery complex of St. Michael (Bamberg)”. The renovation of the entire monastery complex, including the monastery courtyard, gardens and walls, which has been ongoing since 2009, is a lighthouse project in many respects.
